Bok Tower Gardens offers up rare close look as part of Founder’s Day Weekend Celebration

The historic Bok Tower Gardens at Lake Wales, Florida is celebrating their 88th anniversary by offering a special opportunity see the famous tower close up.

At the Founder’s Day Weekend Celebration taking place this weekend, February 4-5, visitors will be able to cross the moat and get a closer look at the incredible Great Brass Door at the entrance to the Singing Tower. Though the actual doors will remain closed and guests won’t be able to enter the tower, it nevertheless represents a unique and rare chance to see the tower up close and take pictures of the area which is normally not accessible to the general public.

In addition, guides will be giving daily tours around the Tower’s exterior starting at noon and will be sharing “historical and architectural information about the iconic Lake Wales masterpiece,” according to their Facebook page.

Founder’s Day festivities are included in general admission. Bok Tower is centrally located between Orlando and Tampa and is open 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
