Celebrate an ‘old fashioned’ Fourth of July at Flamingo Gardens for their 90th anniversary

Just in time for their 90th anniversary, Flamingo Gardens is celebrating Fourth of July with a special slate of “old fashioned” activities, games and a BBQ at their historic site.

Included with general admission, guests can partake in some good ol’ fun all day with arts & crafts, potato sack races, a costume contest, as well as pie and watermelon eating contests — just to name a few things they have planned.

Flamingo Gardens is going way back as well with archeologist and public historian Robert Feeney chatting with guests at their Lost World of Dinosaurs exhibit about Florida history. And don’t forget to check out their amazingly lifelike dinosaurs located in what would be their natural habitat spread along the Arboretum!
